Our Vet Team

Eve Falconer graduated with Distinction from Massey in 2001. After this she worked as a mixed animal vet in the Rangitikei and UK. Upon her return to NZ, she settled in Wellington and started working as a small animal vet. During this 17-year period, she progressed to Lead Veterinarian of Pet Drs Thorndon and Veterinary Manager for Vet Partners in New Zealand. Practice Ownership was the next step and she was thrilled to be given this opportunity in April 2023.
An avid animal lover from a young age she always has been surrounded by a menagerie, the current assortment consists of 4 cats, 1 dog and 6 chooks.
Her husband and 2 teenage boys always love caring for the foster kittens which also are a regular feature. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, reading, walking, yoga and gym classes. Her special interests in the Veterinary field include, dermatology, surgery and complex medical cases especially caring for elderly animals. She derives great satisfaction using her skills and knowledge to help animals live comfortable and happy lives.

Ange is a Massey graduate of 1999. She spent her first years in mixed practice before setting off to London. While in the UK she worked across a variety of town and country practices, eventually settling into being a companion animal vet and developing a special interest in rabbits along the way. Family brought her home to NZ, and since returning 16 years ago she has worked in a variety of day clinics around Wellington. Angela spent a decade working in emergency and critical care at the Wellington after-hours clinic, which she also managed for a number of years.
More recently Angela has spent four years in regulatory work with the Ministry of Primary Industries, during which time she underwent training in biosecurity and veterinary public health, while also completing a Master’s degree in veterinary medicine (Companion Animal).
Her special interests include emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and exotic companion mammals. Ange has three teenage children and enjoys taking them skiing and tramping.

A Massey graduate of 1988, David started his veterinary career as a dairy cattle vet in Taranaki before embarking on his OE. After 4 years based in England, David returned to NZ with an interest in companion animal practice and purchased the Central Hutt Veterinary Clinic in 1996. After 28 years of overseeing the practice and its significant growth, David sold the practice to Angela Park & Eve Falconer in 2023. David continues to work full time in the practice and outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, running & tramping.

After Angela graduated from Massey, she worked for 4 years in a mixed practice in the Waikato, then spent the next 6 years as an itinerant locum veterinarian in the United Kingdom, interspersed with as much travel as the budget would allow. She returned to New Zealand with her partner and young son and began working as a locum in various clinics in the Wellington area. Angela tries to travel as much as possible, particularly enjoying long walking holidays in Europe.

Karen graduated from Massey University and delved straight into intensive dairy farm work in Taranaki for several years before the lure of foreign climes and exotic locations led to a year backpacking through Asia. This was followed by work in the UK and the west of Ireland to fuel further adventures for a number of years. Upon her return to NZ, Karen purchased a vet clinic in Dunedin and experienced the joys and hardships of management alongside clinical work. A move to Motueka was the start of NZ based locum work, including a stint in North West Tasmania. Karen then settled in the Wellington area and has been at the Central Hutt Vet Clinic since 2012. She has quite literally put down roots here by turning her front lawn into an orchard, and delights in growing most of the household fresh produce.

Nani graduated from Massey in 2013 and has been practicing exclusively as a small animal vet since then. She also undertakes shift at the local after-hours clinic, which keeps her emergency and critical care skills up to date. With a particular interest in cardiology and a soft spot for rats, Nani brings a broad range of clinical experience and knowledge to the practice. Out of work she enjoys music (with the occasional DJ gig) and tramping.
