• Our protocols are in place not to penalise those that choose not to get vaccinated, but to keep ourselves, our clients and our community as safe as possible by limiting the spread of COVID-19
  • We will continue to give the best possible care to the pets of ALL of our clients regardless of their vaccination status - our Covid-19 protocols only affect the way we will interact with our clients, not the care we can provide for your pet

Please see our updated protocols under the "traffic light" framework:

  • To minimise contact between our staff and our clients, we ask that only ONE healthy person accompanies their pet into the clinic
  • All clients in the clinic must wear a face covering and scan in
  • Please respect the barriers in the reception area and keep a physical distance of 2 metres from other clients. We may ask you to wait outside the clinic or in your car if there are other clients in the reception area
  • All clients entering consult rooms must be vaccinated and have proof of their vaccination status (due to the close proximity of client and vet/nurse  in a relatively small space)
  • Clients that are not vaccinated, or do not have proof of vaccination, or prefer not to tell us if they are vaccinated (as is their right) will be asked to drop their pet off at reception and then wait while the vet/nurse examines the pet…vets will communicate with clients either via phone or outside the clinic (masked and at distance)

And please respect our team:

Everyone has the right to work in a safe environment and here at the Central Hutt Vet Clinic we don’t tolerate verbal abuse, aggression or bullying behaviour towards any of our team or other clients.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding.
