Our vets are ably supported by our capable and caring nursing team. Although you won’t always see them working out the back, the nurses are busy looking after inpatients, running anaesthesia for the vets in surgery, and providing assistance to the consulting vets.

You are more likely to meet them when your pet has a post-operative check, a nail clip, or if you come in for advice on nutrition or dental care. When you have an emergency, the duty nurse will aid the vets by conducting an initial assessment on your pet. Nurses also support the reception team when clients ring for medical advice, or seeking guidance on when a pet needs to come in for an appointment. The vets at Central Hutt are lucky to have such a talented and dedicated team of nurses, on whom we depend to our jobs effectively.
